What Do We Do?
The Resource Development Center manages the Stanly County WIOA NexGen Services for customers who are 16-24 years of age.
We offer individualized solutions; opportunities and services that help our customers develop a productive plan for a more secure future. Our year-round services are designed to guide and connect our customers who have encountered or will encounter obstacles in the workforce due to:
- Lack of diploma
- Lack of skills certification
- Basic skills deficiency
- Pregnant or Parenting
The NexGen services are offered, not only to impress upon our customers the importance of education and life-long learning to stay current in jobs as they evolve, but also the value of being a good citizen by becoming an active participant in the community.
Who Do We Help?
Stanly County NexGen Customers ages 16-24
Title 1 WIOA NexGen Services Eligibility; additional guidance through the Centralina Workforce Development Board
Eligibility factors include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following items:
- Deficient in basic literacy/numeracy skills
- School dropout
- Homeless, runaway or foster child
- Pregnant or parenting
- Low income
- Individual who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure employment
