The Resource
Development Center, Inc. manages the WIA (Workforce Investment Act) “Life Path”
program providing services to Youth in Stanly County.
Resource Development Center's year-round
program is designed to guide and connect participants with:
Educational Opportunities including tutoring assistance
Employment Literacy Strategies
Workplace Opportunities
and Supportive Services to eligible youth ages 16-21.
Our program goals are, not only to impress upon our participants the importance of education and the need for life long learning to stay current in jobs as they evolve, but the value of being a good citizen by becoming an active participant in the community.
The LifePath program is funded by the Centralina Workforce Development Board
Stanly Life Path
Volunteering Opportunities in the Community
Stanly Life Path volunteers for various community projects throughout the year. Again this year, in order to prepare for Christmas, Stanly Life Path participants have donated time to The Helping Hands program. Helping Hands in conjunction with Stanly County Christian Ministries provides gifts for Stanly
County children and seniors in need.
Accompanied by RDC's, Holly Shaver, volunteers enjoyed sorting toys at the Helping Hands Store so that this year many families who are in need can also enjoy Christmas.
